Discover Stourbridge: A Town Full of Character
A self-initiated town film showing Stourbridge as it actually looks on a good morning: architecture, street art and the people who keep it going.

Stourbridge is on our doorstep, and it gets filmed badly. We made the film we wanted to see: a proper look at the town, shot on the ground and from the air, from the glass-quarter heritage to the murals off the high street.
The challenge
Town films tend to end up as either a tourist-board list or a drone showreel with a licensed track over the top. Neither tells you what a place feels like. We wanted character: the Dutch gable on the wine merchant, the blue station arch, the mural nobody photographs. All without pretending the town is something it isn't.
Our approach
- Scouted on foot first and built a shot list around the details locals actually recognise, not the obvious landmarks
- Shot golden hour at both ends of the day so the brick and the glass carried warmth rather than flat midday grey
- Mixed drone, static and slow-move ground work so the film breathes between scale and detail
- Graded warm with the reds and blues of the town held true, and framed everything for vertical as well as 16:9

Results
The film gave us a calling card in our own patch. A piece of work local businesses can watch and immediately picture their own place in, and a stills set we still use.
